About broker integration

The Quantstrip Trader does not include or support any broker connections. The reason behind this decision is that broker interfaces change frequently and new broker firms continuously enter the market, making it difficult to offer and maintain a growing set of high quality broker connections.

Instead, we provide a set of implementation templates and Python code examples that can be used to integrate with both global and national broker services all over the world. Most of these brokers and trading venues provide high-level Python wrappers around their APIs which fits very well with the Quantstrip client architecture. Sometimes, there are unofficial Python APIs maintained by third parties and though we do provide examples including such APIs, we do not not encourage the use of any integration resources not officially issued by the broker firms themselves.
